How old are you?
Kyle is 31, Claiborne is 28
How long have you been married?
Since 2012 - 8 years!
Are you religious?
Yes! We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our faith is a huge part of our lives and something we teach our children every day.
What do you do for a living?
Kyle is a senior software developer. He works Monday-Thursday all from home, so we get to spend a lot of time with him which we love! Claiborne is a stay-at-home mom (but she does some freelance editing on the side when she wants to.)
Why adoption?
Adoption holds a special place in our hearts because Claiborne has muliple family members on all sides of the adoption triad (adoptees, adoptive parents and birth parents). Claiborne knew from a young age that she would like to pursue adoption someday. We talked about adoption from the time we were dating and have always wanted a large family. We had 3 biological children in 3 years and are now facing unexplained infertility. We feel like God has led us to adoption right now.
Do you prefer an open or closed adoption?
We feel comfortable and confident in having an open relationship with our future child's birth families. We believe you can't have too much love and are committed to doing what is best for our child and his/her birth parents. We would love to communicate often through calls/video chats/texts/letters and think it would be wonderful to visit regularly in person and even share holidays/special days together when possible. However, we completely respect your level of openness as well and are willing to adjust to what you feel comfortable with. As birth parents, you will always be a cherished part of our family - no matter how often you would like contact.
What type of adoption situation are you looking for?
We are open to adopting a boy or girl of any race. We are also open to adopting twins/multiples. We don't have any specifics and are trusting that God will lead us to the right expectant parents that are looking for us too.
Are you home study approved? Are you willing to travel to adopt?
Yes and yes! We are home study approved and ready to adopt today. We would be willing to travel anywhere in the US to adopt your baby.
What is your home like?
We live in Utah in a city in Utah County. We have a single family home that is 3500 sq feet on .25 acre. We live in a neighborhood bursting with children, which is what drew us to the area. We also live directly across the street from a park (which our kids LOVE.)
Are you financially stable?
Yes! We have no other debt besides our house and try to live within our means.
